HAIR VOLUME

Hair Volume refers to the number of hairs per square inch. One can determine the volume of their hair by making a ponytail. A two-fisted thickness indicated thick hair volume, while slim ponytail with thickness as the size of a dime indicates thin hair volume.
Thin People with thin hair can see their scalp when their hairs are wet. They have very fine hair strands that are generally weightless and are flyaway. Individuals with such hair often have straight and silky hairs that do not curl easily. Even if they do curl, they get straightened quickly. Blunt haircuts and bobs suit such hair types and hair products that nourish the roots are good for such hair such as proteinized conditioners, light gels and mousses. Perming should be done very carefully in such hair, as it can cause hair damage.
Medium Most common of all hair volumes, medium hair can be managed very easily and can be easily shaped into various different hairstyles. They allow more experiments that can be done to the hair. One can add volume to medium hair by well placed graduated layers or slight angles around the face or the crown. Volume enhancing styling products, a paddle brush and the right part can do wonders to such hair.
Thick Very strong and hard to manage, people with thick hair volume should opt for layered haircuts to give shape and direction to their hair. They may need frequent perming to change their texture and may not hold curls easily. Using hair products such as pomades, surfacers and strong hair gels that can smoothen the hair can more effectively make it easier to control them.
